Car up in flames in Telford after electrical fault

A car went up in flames on an industrial estate this afternoon after an electrical fault.

The car was "well alight" on the A464 at Stafford Park in Telford. Fire crews and police were called to the incident at around 2pm. Nobody was hurt.

A Shropshire Fire and Rescue spokesman said: "At 2.04pm on Saturday, September, 18, we received a call reporting a car fire in Telford.

"One vehicle well alight caused by an electrical fault. Crews extinguished using two hose reel jets.

"One fire appliance was mobilised from Telford Central. Also at the scene of the incident were the police."
