Redrow Midlands is hosting a free advice weekend at Abbey Fields, on Castle Farm Way, Priorslee, from 10am-5.30pm, on May 22 and 23 aimed at first-time buyers.

Those in the market for a new home can book an appointment to find out more about getting on the property ladder by taking advantage of the Help to Buy scheme.

The government-backed Help to Buy scheme means first-time buyers need a deposit of just five percent. Buyers can then borrow 20 per cent of the purchase price in the form of an equity loan, meaning they'll have access to more affordable interest rates typically associated with a 25 percent deposit.

Regional property price caps vary across the country, with first-time buyers in the West Midlands able to use the scheme when purchasing a new home up to the value of £255,600.

Visitors on the day will also be able to find out more about the Ledbury, two of which are available under the current Help to Buy scheme.

Available from £205,995, this two-bedroom home features a traditional exterior and contemporary interior.

Elaine Cartwright, sales director for Redrow Midlands, said: “Why rent when you could be in your very own home with the help of this scheme?

"We want to make it as easy as possible for local people to get on the property ladder and buy their dream home. We are delighted to offer one-to-one expert advice at our event to show potential first-time buyers just how easy the process can be.

“The Help to Buy scheme aims to make the process of buying a home as affordable as possible. We’d encourage people in Priorslee and further afield to come along to our brand-new development, take a tour of our show homes, and receive tailored advice.”
