Cyclist injured in collision with car in Telford

A male cyclist was taken to hospital after a collision with a car during rush hour this morning.

An ambulance was called to the scene of the collision.

The incident happened in Holyhead Road in Ketley, Telford, at around 8.40am.

Members of the public tended to the cyclist before an ambulance and police officers arrived at the scene at the Ketley Park Road mini-roundabout near Ketley Recreation Centre.

Jamie Arrowsmith, spokeman for West Midlands Ambulance Service, said: "We received a report of a collision between a car and a cyclist.

"The cyclist was treated for injuries not believed to be serious. He was taken to Princess Royal Hospital for further treatment."

Nobody else was hurt.
