Telford MP Lucy Allan meets council over child sexual exploitation inquiry
Senior Telford councillors were today meeting the town's MP Lucy Allan to discuss the inquiry into child sexual exploitation.
Cabinet member Councillor Lee Carter, council director Clive Jones and assistant director Jonathan Eatough were meeting the MP at her Telford constituency office.
They were discussing the inquiry process, lobbying for government funding to tackle the issue and future funding of the Holly Project.
Councillor Carter said: “We have asked for a meeting with the MP on a number of occasions and we are very pleased that we now have the opportunity to fully brief her on the facts.”
