Fire crews rescue horse trapped in ditch near Telford
Firefighters were called out to rescue a horse stuck in a deep ditch near Telford today.
Four fire engines were sent from Much Wenlock, Telford and Wellington to help rescue the horse on the Buildwas Road.
The horse got stuck after escaping from a nearby field, and was unable to get itself free.
The animal was finally rescued with the aid of animal rescue equipment and a tractor, as well as help from several firefighters.
The horse and everyone involved in the incident was reported to be safe and well when the fire crew left.
