The event at Telford's International Centre was held yesterday and Sunday, welcoming more than 2,000 people through the doors.

The annual event is hailed as a must visit for anyone involved in the pet trade.

With hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of products, it offers retailers the opportunity to do business with the whole pet trade under one roof.

More than 300 brands were exhibited by suppliers and manufacturers of pet food, accessories and services.

Retailers, vets and groomers from the UK and overseas came together to exhibit their products and services.

The annual show was organised by Kent-based PATS, which also organises another pet trade show each year in Sandown.

Spokesman for PATS, Neil Pope said: "More than 2,000 came to this year's pet trade show in Telford.

"It's the national trade show when all the pet brands come under one roof.

"From both the point of view of visitors and exhibitors, it's been the best yet in terms of business interest, trade and orders taken.

"We are very happy with how this year's event turned out."

This year's pet trade show also featured grooming demonstrations and seminars on how retailers can get the best out of their business.

Pets Choice used the event to launch its new Meatiful range of pet food.

Marketing manager Julie Butcher said: “The orders on our new range have exceeded all our expectations.

"We’ve also had a lot of international interest from buyers from Greece, Spain and France.”

PATS is an experienced pet and aquatics trade show organiser, with more than 70 years of combined experience running trade shows.
