The Killing of Ellie Swales by Olga Merrick involves a soldier who suffers badly from post traumatic stress disorder, and Olga is donating 50p from every book sold to the Help For Heroes charity.

"My life is a constant whirl of activity," says Olga Tramontin, from Holmer Lake, who writes as Olga Merrick - Merrick is her mother's maiden name.

"Besides the novel writing I am giving motivational talks on writing the novel around Shropshire. I have also run a creative writing course at CHEC in Madeley, and will be running a second one at the Sambrook Centre, Stirchley Library, in September.

"I've also gained my BA (Hons) English Literature degree at the Open University at the grand age of 77."

The Killing of Ellie Swales is the third crime thriller from Olga, and she says she had almost 50 pre-orders, having built up an enthusiastic following among her readers across the United Kingdom and America.

Olga hails originally from Middlesex and once kept at pub at Elstree frequented by film stars and famous people.

Her Tramontin name comes from northern Italy.

“I was married for 20 years to an Italian chef."

Her latest book will see her breaking out the champagne, as every time she has a book published she celebrates with a glass of bubbly.

The Killing of Ellie Swales has been published by Chadgreen Books.
