Roads in Ludlow closed over man in river

Roads in Ludlow were closed while emergency services dealt with a man in the River Teme today.

The man got himself out of the river after three fire crews were called to the scene in Lower Broad Street just after 2.15pm.

The road near Ludford Bridge was closed while the emergency services dealt with the incident.

Fire crews were sent from Craven Arms, Ludlow and Shrewsbury. An operations officer was in attendance.

Police were also at the scene.
