New appeal for information after three-car crash on A49

A new appeal for information has been released following a three-car crash which left a woman with serious injuries.

Police were called to the crash on the A49 near Leominster on Sunday at about 6.20pm.

A silver Vauxhall Zafira was travelling southbound on the A49, between the Kimbolton junction of the A4112 and the A44 junction in Leominster, near to the OK Diner.

The Zafira was involved in a collision with a grey Land Rover Freelander, and another Land Rover Freelander, both of which were travelling northbound.

A man and woman travelling in the Zafira were airlifted to hospital, the woman to the Queen Elizabeth in Birmingham with life-threatening injuries. She remains in hospital in a serious yet stable condition.

The man has now been discharged, and two children also travelling in the Zafira, were treated for minor injuries at Hereford County Hospital.
