The woman was found dead in water near Munslow, in the south of the county, by West Mercia Police officers searching for Anne Hughes.

The death is not being treated as suspicious.

Ms Hughes, aged 70, went missing from her home in Munslow, near Craven Arms, yesterday morning.

Police soon launched an appeal, in which they said they were "increasingly concerned" for Ms Hughes who had last been seen at around 6am.

However, officers revealed this morning that a body had been discovered.
