A crew from Clun were called when the Jack Russell became trapped in Knighton, just over the Shropshire border in Powys, at around 1.40pm.

The firefighters used a nine-metre ladder to gain access to the steep embankment at Kinsley Woods

They then used shovels and picks to make the hole bigger and safely reach Freddie before returning him safe and well to his relieved owners.
