Western Power Distribution say the fault happened at 7.28am and supplies were restored by 8.18am but engineers had to re-interrupt supplies to 45 properties to complete a repair.

The company say it was a fault on the high voltage overhead power network which often means that many more customers are affected than if there is a fault on the low voltage network

All repairs were completed by 1pm.

Western Power Distribution apologised for any inconvenience caused.
