Shrewsbury cyclist suffers serious facial injuries as two bikes crash on bridge

A cyclist suffered serious facial injuries after a crash with another cyclist in Shrewsbury.

The two cyclists crashed on the Telford Way bridge at about 7.20pm on Thursday, November 9.

One cyclist was travelling towards the Heathgates traffic island in the cycle lane while the other was travelling from the island towards Monkmoor when the two crashed. One of the cyclists suffered serious facial injuries.

Police enquiries are ongoing but officers would like to speak with any witnesses to the incident or people who saw the bikes and the manner in which they were being ridden.

Police would also like anyone who has dashcam footage to come forward.
