Two fire crews from Shrewsbury went to the scene and discovered a car and a trailer leaking fuel.

Dangers from the oil spillage meant that the A5 eastbound was partially blocked.

Long queues built up between the A49 Preston Island and the junction for Wellington affecting traffic heading towards Telford.
