They will be on Welshpool Road, adjacent to Little Oxon Lane, from May 17 to June 11, while Western Power Distribution carries out the work.

It will involve Western Power reinforcing the existing underground cables, which will allow for more capacity within the area.

While the lights are in operation, a traffic management operative will be on site from 7.30am-9.30am, and from 4pm-6.30pm.

Residents and affected businesses will be notified of the works, and advance warning signs will be placed on site two weeks prior to the scheme starting.

Shropshire Council’s inspection team will monitor the work as it progresses to ensure the contractors are working efficiently and to the agreed timescales.
