The protestors have been visiting homes this morning and handing out leaflets saying why they think lockdown should end, breaking the rules in the process.

They have been reported to Shropshire Council and their actions have been condemned by a councillor, who believes their sentiments undermine the tireless work done by NHS staff, partners and volunteers in the vaccine roll out.

The campaigners were seen in the Belle Vue and Coleham area of Shrewsbury.

A resident reported the issue to Councillor Kate Halliday, who escalated it to Shropshire Council.

She said: "I absolutely do not agree with the sentiments in this leaflet.

"The vaccination programme has been extremely successful in Shropshire and the rest of the country and I am hoping people are not swayed by this kind of messaging."
