Shrewsbury schoolboy, 11, taken to hospital in suspected hit and run
Officers are investigating reports that a schoolboy was struck by a car on his way to school in a suspected hit and run in Shrewsbury.
The alleged incident happened in the York Road area of Harlescott on Thursday morning as the 11-year-old was heading to school.
West Mercia Police told the Shropshire Star: "We were called at 10.20am this morning to reports of a collision on York Road involving a pedestrian child.
"The driver failed to stop and the boy had to be taken to hospital."
