Nathan Traven, has overcome adversity in the last 18 months, after losing the lower part of his right leg following a motorbike accident.

He has since started raising money for several Shropshire charities.

His latest achievement has been the Wilmslow Triathlon, where he raised more than £600 for Severndale Specialist Academy, based in Woodcote Way, Shrewsbury.

Nathan’s brother Lewis attends the academy and all generations of the Traven family have raised money throughout Lewis’ time at the school.

The money raised for Severndale will go towards improving facilities and surroundings for the students to use.
