Cyclist killed in Shrewsbury crash is named

A cyclist who was killed on a Shrewsbury road has been named.

Michael Jarnot died on Wednesday night close to The Peacock Inn on Wenlock Road. His inquest will open on Tuesday.

Mr Jarnot, aged 30, had worked at AMF Bowling and was involved with a charity which worked with people with Aspergers.

He was in collision with a white Range Rover Sport which was travelling towards Much Wenlock at around 9.10pm.

Despite the best efforts of passers by who performed CPR until the emergency services arrived, Mr Jarnot was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are now appealing for people who may have witnessed the accident or who have dashcam footage to come forward.
