A49 closed in Shrewsbury after crash between cars and motorbike
A serious crash has happened in Shrewsbury involving a motorcycle and two cars.
Motorists have been warned to avoid the area while emergency services work at the scene.
The crash has closed the A49 near the A5 at around 5.50pm.
Officials say the crash happened between the Preston and Sundorne Island.
Officers from West Mercia Police and staff from West Midlands Ambulance Service were also at the scene.
Police closed the road in both directions while emergency services crews attended.
Three fire crews from Shrewsbury attended the scene.
