Car overturns on M54 at Wellington

A car has overturned on a slip road just off the M54.

The saloon car veered off the road and rolled onto its side, coming to rest on an embankment.

It happened on the westbound slip road at junction seven of the M54, near Wellington, just after 10.45pm on Friday.

Three fire crews from Shrewsbury, Telford Central and Wellington attended alongside police and West Midlands Ambulance Service.

One person had to be freed from their vehicle by firefighters following another crash involving a singe vehicle at Shrewsbury Road, Preston Gubbals, at 10.55am today.

Two fire crews attended from Shrewsbury.

Just before noon today, firefighters were also called to another collision involving three cars on the A5 between Emstrey and Preston, near Shrewsbury.

Three fire crews attended from Baschurch and Shrewsbury.
