She said: "It was reported to us at 9.27am this morning.

"It's an overturned trailer. Lane 2 of the A5 is closed southbound, it's not fully blocked.

"Police are on the scene overseeing the recovery.

"There are delays of about 30 minutes on top of normal journey time being reported."

The road was fully reopened by 12.30pm.

"The incident took place on the A5 just before the M54.

"There are no injuries reported.

"Central Motorway Police Group (CMPG) has attended the scene.

"The log has been closed under a damage only road traffic collision."

Richard Knight, countryside maintenance manager with Shropshire Council, said:

“A team of two from the council’s Outdoor Partnerships team were travelling to Shifnal to install a timber bridge kit, with tools, equipment and stone on a truck and trailer. They were travelling towards Telford on the A5 when the trailer ‘fishtailed’ and turned over on its side. No injuries were sustained and no other vehicles were involved.”
