Woman rescued after hillside fall

A woman had to be stretchered off a hillside after a fall.

The injured walker had fallen on a muddy the muddy hill off Glyn Morlas Lane, St Martins on this afternoon at darkness fell.

Fire crews from Oswestry responded to a call for help at 4.18pm and were quickly on scene.

In a rescue lasting an hour they brought her down the hill using a stretcher and lines to a waiting ambulance crew.

Her condition is not known.
