Officers investigating the assault on a man near Oswestry are keen to speak to the man pictured, saying they believe he may be able to help with enquiries.
The incident happened in Rhosygadfa, between Gobowen and St Martins, on Saturday, January 9.
It is believed the man pictured was in the area and may be able to help with enquiries, West Mercia Police said.
The man, or anyone with information about his identity, is asked to contact West Mercia Police online under the Tell Us About section of westmercia.pnn.police.uk using reference 00261_I_09012021.
