Child falls from window in Gobowen

A child escaped without major injuries after falling from a window.

It was a first feared that the young child was badly hurt and an air ambulance was sent to the scene in West Place, Gobowen just before 11am on Wednesday.

Murray MacGregor from West Midlands Ambulance said: "A doctor on board the air ambulance assessed the patient and the injuries were not as serious as first thought. The patient was taken by road ambulance to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital."

Police were also called to the scene.

"A child had fallen from a window and was taken to hospital by ambulance. The child appears to have no major injuries. This is not being treated as suspicious and there is no investigation," Vicky Smith from West Mercia police said.
