Members of the 2nd Ellesmere Brownies and their leaders spent most of the day on March 30, Mothers Day, bag packing in the town's Tesco Store.

The 16 girls packed hundreds of bags for shoppers between 11am and 3pm and raised £535.

Leader, Caroline Ford, said that the money was divided between Cancer Research UK and the brownie unit.

"As it was Mothers Day weekend donations were boosted by shopping going into the store to buy gifts for their mothers," she said.

"A massive thank you to Ellesmere community and Tesco for hosting the Brownies.

"As leaders we are super proud of our superwomen Brownies and their achievement.
