Sheep rescued from a trough

Fire crews were called out to rescue a sheep after it got stuck in a drinking trough.

Shropshire Fire and Rescue received a call around 10.50am on Saturday, reporting a trapped sheep.

One crew was dispatched to the scene on Whitwell Lane in Oswestry from Oswestry Fire Station.

The team found the animal with its front legs lodged in a drinking trough.

The crews worked to free the animal, calling off the rescue minutes later at 11.12pm.
