Minibus catches fire near Oswestry

Fire crews were called to minibus on fire on a Shropshire road.

Crews from Ellesmere and Oswestry were called to the A492 at Welsh Frankton to deal with the incident at around 9.45am today.

The fire involved the engine compartment of a minibus travelling on the main road near Whittington, Oswestry.

Two fire appliances were sent from the Ellesmere and Oswestry stations and an operations officer also attended the incident.

The fire was out on arrival of crews and they left the scene around 10am.
