Owen's Travelmaster, based in Oswestry, says its customers are booking UK holidays for 2021 now the the vaccine is being rolled out.

The family company had to stop its holidays again after Christmas for the current lockdown.

But it said those that had been run between lockdowns in 2020 were very popular.

Owner, Mike Owen, said: "People are desperate for some kind of normality and the vaccine has given the the confidence to book."

"For many our trips are a big part of people's social lives and they tell us they miss seeing their friends and fellow travellers."

He said that the signs were good that restrictions could be lifted by March and hotels could be open once again.

"We worked extremely hard last year to put every measure in place to keep our holidays and trips Covid secure and our customers were very pleased that they were able to get away."

Owens Coaches invested in fogging machines to ensure the vehicles were sanitised and have mobile ones that drivers take with them.

"We have fewer people on each coach with social distancing enforced and we are tailoring our holidays to meet the requirements. We are working closely with hotels as we always have done over the years."

Drivers are temperature checked prior to starting their shift and all passengers must be temperature checked before they can board the vehicle.
