Qube in Oswestry, is holding a photographic competition, with the theme, Happiness Is.

The charity based in Oswestry Road serves the needs of the local community through arts and health, community transport and shopmobility, learning, volunteering and care.

Oswestry-based charity, Qube is offering a prize of £100 for the happiest picture submitted.

There will be a £100 prize for the winning photo selected by a panel of independent judges, and a £20 ‘People’s Choice’ Prize.

Qube Arts Officer, Charlotte Jackson said: “There seems to be quite a lot of gloomy news around at the moment, so we thought we’d run a competition to fill the gallery with people’s happiness pictures. Anyone can enter the competition,

you can even send in pictures from your mobile phone. It’s going to be really interesting to see what makes people smile.”

Entry costs £5 per image and the closing date is midnight April 1. The money raised from the competition will help support Qube’s essential services to the community.

"All of Qube services are supported by our fabulous volunteers, without whom we would be unable to operate."
