Cattle truck overturns on A5 near Oswestry

A trailer with cattle in the back tipped over near Oswestry this morning.

One cow was thought to have possibly suffered an injury in the incident, which happened on the A5 on the outskirts of Oswestry.

It took place just after 7am and West Mercia Police confirmed that no persons were injured in the incident.

A spokeswoman for West Mercia Police said: "Just after 7am this morning police were called after a trailer tipped over on the A5 near to the British Ironwork Centre.

"No-one was injured however there was cattle in the trailer and it’s thought one cow may be injured."
