Fieldbounce was cancelled with just two weeks to go

Fieldbounce Music Festival was supposed to take place in May, featuring the likes of Dappy, Scouting for Girls and Danny Howard.

However two weeks before the festival was due, organisers announced the cancellation.

Festival CEO Shawn Melusi has said that most people who bought tickets have been paid back, while the rest are in the process of being paid back.

However, because some traders and ticket holders are yet to receive refunds, a complaint has been made to Action Fraud about the Fieldbounce Company and organisers.

Action Fraud is the UK’s national reporting centre for fraud and cyber crime.

A spokeswoman for the organisation confirmed it had received a complaint and that “it is currently being assessed by the City of London Police’s National Fraud Intelligence Bureau”.

Mr Melusi did not wish to comment.

The festival was due to take place at Park Hall on May 5, with organisers hoping to sell more than 5,000 tickets and build year on year.

A number of acts had already been announced for a main stage, with a comedy tent also set to feature.

There were a host of other acts lined up, but the plug was pulled when a statement was published on the festival's Twitter account.

Mr Melusi, who had pledged to pay fans back, later explained: “The reasons for the cancellation of the festival are sadly down to lack of ticket sales and lack of sponsorship, which meant we were unable to meet our financial deadlines.”
