Church opens doors to post office

A village church could soon double as a post office.

St John's Church in Weston Rhyn stepped in to offer to host an outreach service to ensure villagers could once again access post office services at least once a week.

The postmaster from Trefonen Post Office would offer the service from the church every Thursday between 12.30 – 2.30pm.

The service temporarily closed May 2016 following the retirement of the Postmaster Shirley Holloway.

The Post Office is now inviting customers and interested parties to give their comments on

the move in a six-week public consultation. The consultation will close on 13 April 2018.

Submissions can be made during the consultation by Freepost YOUR COMMENTS to Post Office Ltd, via email to comments@postoffice.co.uk, via the Customer Helpline on 03457 22 33 44 or Textphone

03457 22 33 55.

Customers can also share their views online through a questionnaire at postofficeviews.co.uk with the branch code 287641.
