Store shut after fuse box fire

A member of staff had to have oxygen therapy after a small fire in a supermarket.

The Iceland store on Oswald Road was closed for a time on Thursday morning following the fire in the fuse box.

Fire crews from the town were called at 6.40am. They found that the fire was out when they arrived but were able to isolate the electrics and give oxygen therapy to a member of staff. The incident was under control within half an hour.

Paramedics also went to the scene.
