Prayers for Manchester

Oswestry's parish church will be open for an hour on Saturday for people to drop in an light a candle for the victims of the Manchester bombing.

The Rev Prebendary Simon Thorburn, Vicar of St Oswald’s Parish Church and Councillor Vince Hunt, Oswestry Town Mayor have arranged the opportunity for the town and our visitors to come together to pray for the City of Manchester and to pray for peace.

Councillor Hunt said: "Between 5pm and 6pm at St Oswald’s Parish Church, there will be an opportunity to call into the church for a quiet moment, to say a prayer and light a candle in memory of the victims and their families and all those affected by the tragic events of Monday evening."
