Aaron Rogers, 22, from Whitchurch, is accused of causing the death of cyclist Ian Edwards in a crash near Whitchurch last year.

Mr Edwards, 58, died at the scene of the crash on the B5476 at Coton on July 31.

Rogers pleaded not guilty to causing death by careless driving at Shrewsbury Crown Court. Judge Peter Barrie set a trial date of February 7 next year.

At an earlier hearing, a court was told that Rogers was charged with death by dangerous driving, but an update was issued saying the charge was death by careless driving instead.
