Woman suffers smoke inhalation in kitchen fire near Whitchurch

A woman was treated for smoke inhalation after a kitchen fire near Whitchurch today.

Firefighters and paramedics were called to the house in Cloverley, Calverhall, at about 8.45am.

Firefighters used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire which involved the dishwasher, fridge and cupboards.

Fire crews were sent from Market Drayton, Prees and Whitchurch, and a positive pressure ventilation fan was used to assist with clearing the smoke from the property.
