The Battle Reenactment Throughout the Ages event took place at Hadley Park, Whitchurch, on Saturday and Sunday.

Richard Gibson, who played Herr Otto Flick, Kim Hartman, who played Private Helga Geerhart, and Guy Siner, who played Lieutenant Hubert Gruber, all made an appearance at the event.

As well as opening the event, they were on site all weekend, playing scripts from the TV show.

There were more than 150 vehicles at the event, including army tanks, trucks and Jeeps.

Various military encampments depicting historically accurate equipment and men also entertained visitors.

The event also featured medieval jousting, RAF fly past showing World War II planes, bar, 1940s band and a large number of stalls that matched the periods depicted.

Organiser Mark Whittle said: "We had tanks, German trucks, army Jeeps, First World War ambulance – all sorts of vehicles. They weren't just be stationary, they actually drove past people. We also had 80 re-enactors.

“We deliberately tried to keep the cost of the event down. We were given a loan from Whitchurch Town Council for the event.

“We have raised money for Paralympic archer Michael Hall, Battle Back Centre at Lilleshall and a local charity in Whitchurch.”

Market Drayton town councillor Roy Aldcroft was among those to visit the event.

"It was an absolutely brilliant event," he said. "To see the fields covered in army vehicles was astonishing and it was spread out well.

"There was lots of support and plenty of vehicles, people and actors.

"It was good to see the cast of 'Allo 'Allo there as well.

"The event was really well organised. It was the first one this year and I hope it will be back next year."
