Cows rescued from barn fire near Shrewsbury
A large fire ripped through a barn with cows inside it at a Shropshire farm.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze and protect the livestock.
The fire service was called to Hope Farmhouse in Clive, near Shrewsbury, a little before 5am today after a fire began in a barn, which is about 50m by 80m.
Crews attended from Shrewsbury, Wem, Baschurch and Wellington.
Station manager Jim Barker said: "Crews dealt with an agricultural fire in Clive in the early hours of Easter Sunday.
Crews worked alongside farm staff to swiftly deal with the fire and protect livestock. Well done all."
The firefighters used hose reel jets and ventilation fans to save the cows.
