Phase one of the restoration of Hawkstone Hall country estate hasnow been completed.

The mansion is being restored by the Distinctly Hospitable Group and the ballroom along with 12 suites have been completed so far.

Business partners Hannah Petrouis and Martin Hirst, and a team from Insight Construction, took over the building in June 2017 and have been busy restoring all areas of the Hall and it’s 88 acres of gardens.

The refectory, ballroom and 12 suites are finished and the second and final phase of refurbishment is due for completion in April 2019 with 25 more bedrooms added and the launch of the Chapel restaurant.

Business development director Hannah Petrouis said: “Hawkstone Hall has been a labour of love for the family and business partner Martin.

“We have tried to reinstate as many key original features as possible with the help of English Heritage which has been a rewarding process.”

Ms Petrouis added: “Now for the bit we are very good at – running the events.”

As well as a country hotel and wedding venue the hall will be looking to host corporate dinners, cookery days, food festivals and yoga retreats throughout the year.
