'She had many friends and will be sadly missed' - Tributes pour in for Market Drayton crash victim

Further tributes have been paid to a teenager who died following a crash on one of the county's main roads.

Georgia Walton, 17, of Market Drayton, was involved in a crash on the A53 near the town on Sunday.

Sonia Taylor, headteacher of the town's Grove College where Georgia was a student, has described her as a "passionate" and "vibrant" young woman.

"Georgia was a wonderful member of our college community. She was vibrant and full of energy," Mrs Taylor said.

"A superbly well-motivated student, she had already achieved so very much.

"Georgia was passionate about many things especially her horse riding and her acting career.

"She had many friends in college and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

"The staff and students here send our deepest sorrow and most sincere condolences to her family and friends on this tragic loss of a bright star."

Police were called to the A53 Blore Heath at about 10.35pm after the car Georgia was driving, a red Suzuki Alto, was involved in a collision with a HGV.

Georgia passed away at the scene as a result of her injuries.

Following the accident Market Drayton FC also paid tribute to Georgia in a tweet.
