Work on the A41 in Hinstock, near Market Drayton, started on September 18 and is due to take six weeks to complete.

For safety reasons a 20mph speed limit has been in place for the duration of the work.

Access to properties and businesses has also been kept open during the work.

A statement by Shropshire Council said: “The works are progressing well and are currently on programme.

"Approximately 80 per cent of the deep carriageway reconstruction and 75 per cent of the ironwork replacement has been completed to date. Traffic signs replacement is currently ongoing.

"Please note that the 20mph speed limit through the works is not advisory and is legally enforceable. It is in place primarily to protect the site staff and travelling public, but also to protect the works themselves."
