Powys Recycles, the Waste & Recycling Service for Powys County Council, said it was experiencing some vehicle difficulties in our Welshpool depot.

"Unfortunately, this means that some recycling boxes won’t be emptied today as planned, a message on it's social media said.

"Extra recycling will be taken next week to make up for the missed collection. If essential, excess recycling can be taken to the Household Waste Recycling centre, or your community recycling site."

Apologies for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

In Welshpool town those affected were residents in Gungrog Hill, Borfa Green, Maes Owen, Erw Wen, Delwood drive and all other estates in this area

In the countryside those affected included people in Llanrhaeadr Ym Mochnant, Llangedwyn and Llansillin, Rhos y Brithdir, Maengwynedd, Llangedwyn Rural, Mynydd Mawr and Pedair Fford along with lanes in the area.
