Community car volunteers sought
A community car scheme, run by North Montgomeryshire Volunteer Bureau, is looking for volunteer drivers to help get local people to their Covid 19 vaccinations.
Because this is an essential volunteer post the volunteer drivers wil be offered the Covid-19 vaccine.
The bureau says good expenses are paid and volunteers will be supplied with masks and sanitiser. Drivers use their own cars.
A spokesman said: "Many of our vulnerable residents do not have access to transport and rely on the Community Car Scheme to get them to essential appointments. The Covid vaccination could not be more important. The Community Car Scheme has been helping throughout the pandemic with transport and delivery of shopping and prescriptions, but more drivers are needed if they are to help all the people who are asking for support."
