Residents and staff at The Wheatlands Care Home in Much Wenlock will receive their jabs this afternoon.

Manager Claire Brewer said: "We feel really lucky to be getting it because I don't think many care homes have had it yet."

It comes after the vaccine roll out in care homes began in the county last week as residents received the Pfizer-BioNTech jab.

Doctors are also expecting the Oxford University and AstraZeneca jab to arrive in the county this week.

The first care home to get vaccines in Shropshire was Morris Care Centre in Wellington, followed by Hagley Place Care Home in Ludlow.
