Fly-tipped waste on fire in Bridgnorth

Firefighters had to turn out to extinguish a blaze on a pile of fly-tipped waste.

The commercial waste had been dumped on the side of the B4176 at Stableford, north east of Bridgnorth.

A fire crew from Tweedale, Telford, responded to a 999 call at 5.38am on Friday.

Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service said the crew arrived to find a small fire involving industrial fly tipped waste approximately two metres by two metres in size.

Firefighters were able to get the blaze under control by 6am.
