Bridgnorth & District Camera Club recently ran a photographic competition for members entitled 'Taken in Shropshire'.

Members had to submit images which were taken in Shropshire during the period from October 1, 2017 to September 30 last year.

The competition was sponsored and judged by Nock Deighton Estate Agents.

The winning image 'Our Shropshire Hills' was taken on the Long Mynd by Frank Cartwright.

David Talbot, competition secretary for the club, said: "The Shropshire theme was seen as an ideal fit for the Shropshire based estate agency and camera club both operating at the heart of the community."

Bridgnorth & District Camera Club meets on Thursday evenings from 7.30pm at Low Town Community Hall, Severn Street, Bridgnorth.

The club, which formed in 1952, welcomes all styles of photography, from experienced photographers to keen beginners.

It holds regular competitions, invites speakers on a variety of topics and organises photography trips and events.
