Delays expected during roundabout works on Bridgnorth bypass

Drivers will face disruption when roundabouts along the Bridgnorth bypass close for resurfacing work next week.

Improvement works on the A458 Bridgnorth bypass are continuing.

Resurfacing of the Ludlow Road and Kidderminster Road roundabouts began yesterday and will continue with a series of 24-hour road closures between 6am on Monday and 6am on Thursday.

Shropshire Council says the 24-hour closures are required to allow the surfacing material sufficient time to be installed and cured before it carries traffic.

The authority says the closures are expected to cause significant delays, particularly at peak times, and has apologised for any inconvenience to motorists.

Diversions will be signposted.
