Passenger airlifted to hospital after car crashes into tree near Bridgnorth

A passenger has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after a car hit a tree near Bridgnorth.

The crash happened at around 12:55pm near to the Bridgnorth Lodge on the B4363 in Billingsley, Bridgnorth, on Saturday.

A Blue Peugeot 307 left the carriageway and collided with a tree.

As well as the driver, the car contained two passengers, one of whom was airlifted to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital with serious injuries to his hip.

The driver suffered minor injuries to his hand and ankle, and the third occupant was unharmed.

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or who may have seen the vehicle prior to this happening.
