It may not be warm enough for picnics, which would attract this little fella, but events taking place over this weekend should see some brighter spells bursting through the cloud cover.

But while the sun may be trying to put in appearance, the temperatures will remain down on last week's sizzling figures.

The daytime high for today will be around 19°c falling to a low of 11°c overnight. There could be the chance of a light rain shower at around 2pm although the sun is expected to make an appearance at around 7pm.

Tomorrow the temperature will be down a little at 17°c and with light winds with a 10 per cent chance of rain.

Rain clouds are set to sweep in on Monday and Tuesday with temperatures hovering around the 20°c mark. On Monday it will be cloudy with patchy rain likely to arrive later in the day and, although it will be brighter on Tuesday, there is still a risk of some showers.

Looking forward to the middle and end of the week the temperatures continue to fall, with weather forecasters predicting they will reach 16°c on Thursday where it may be time to dust off the umbrella to hide from predicted frequent light rain.
